Supply Chain Empowerment

Driver Training
Each and every driver is carefully screened and tested for driver competency.  Prior to graduating as GAFFLEY’s drivers, learners spend considerable time in the role of secondary drivers. Furthermore, all drivers must, at all times, be in possession of a valid licence and Public Driving Permit.

After Hour Supervision
To ensure the constant and smooth provision of services by GAFFLEY’s Coach Tours and Transport, a team of supervisors and managers are on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.

Depot And Infrastructure
Gaffley’s Transport is located in Grabouw and Gaffley's Coach Tours is located in close proximity to Cape Town International Airport. Each branch consists of an administrative building, workshop area, bus-parking area, driver training centre and wash bays.

Alliances & Partners
Gaffley’s has a relationship with all major passenger transport-operators nationwide and a good standing relationship with all operators (including those that are BEE Complacent) in and around the Western Cape for back up support if necessary. We have a standby vehicle for emergencies to ensure smooth swift and safe transport of passengers.

Insurance
Gaffley’s has, through Special Risks Underwriters, passenger liability insurance cover to the value of R 50,000,000.00 (R50 million) and R 100,000,000.00 (R100 million) per incident.

Legal Compliance
Gaffley's complies with all applicable legislation. All vehicles are properly licensed and undergo Certificate of Fitness (COF) tests on 6 monthly basis. Records of COF’s are kept on the buses and are readily provided to the client. Buses are not permitted to operate without such documentation. All buses are issued with the necessary Road Transportation Permits as required by the Road Transport Act. Furthermore, all drivers and operational staff are scheduled to conduct their duties within the ambit of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act in terms of work hours, overtime limits, night work, spread-over and rest periods.

Traversing Rights / Coverage

  • Gaffley’s operate nationally on request.

  • Daily tours are done in the Cape Town Metropole.

  • We cover areas as far as the West Coast, Overberg, Boland, Koue Bokkeveld as per our client’s request, and as far as the South African boundaries allow us to operate as per our Operator’s Licence Authorisation.

  • We apply for Cross Border permits as and when required.
